Diminished Value Appraisals

Diminished value real estate appraisals are assessments of the reduction in the value of a property due to specific factors or events.  These factors can include physical damage, environmental hazards, zoning changes, or other issues that may negatively impact the value of the property.  Like with vehicle appraisals, the purpose of diminished value real estate appraisal is to determine the difference in value between a property before ehte event occurred and after the event occurred.  This difference in value is known as the "diminished value" of the property.  These Appraisals are often used in legal disputes, insurance claims, or real estate transactions.
